no, it all hinges on the father and what chromosomes he passes on during conception. |

There is sex selection available although only with about an 80% success rate. And your insurance probably won't cover it. But ask your OB/GYN. |

The most "sure" way is to use in-vitro fertilization, where the sperm can be chosen from the many in order to determine which one that will infiltrate the egg has the necessary properties to be either a boy or girl. (Although there is probably more they can determine from the sperm cell.)
This type of fertilization includes the introduction of the chosen sperm cell into the 'egg', then the result re-implanted into the female for normal gestation.
I've only had two children and both were girls. I would eventually like a baby boy, but they have both been a joy. I can imagine that if you're the mom, you're only asking on behalf of the hubby. He's probably getting a bit overwhelmed from all the estrogen in the household! :) |

there are new scietific ways to exclude the male chromosome and have it implanted, but i think this is right along the lines of playing God. its a certain way but im sure its very expensive. and im not sure its offered or available, even legal in every state.
there are no other ways to have a boy for sure...if you have thre egirls, its likely your man is just gonna make girls. may not be worth the risk if youre only trying for a boy |

There are many theories behind it, but no, there's no way to make sure you'll have a boy.
There's also crap like this:

Good luck.

You should see a reproductive therapist. |

You have to make sure that the PH in your womb is correct for concieving a boy...look into "basic" or "acidic" for boys and girls. |

If you want, there are some labs that can help you at. You should talk to your doctor first, but what they do is seperate your husbands sperm, find a bunch of y chromosomes, and do an in vitro fertilization. This is somethign you should look into, but definitely talk to your doctor first. |

Isn't the only "sure" thing in life death? |

The male determines the sex, is my understanding.. I think one of the male/female sperm swims faster.. I forget which but you might want to ask your OB/GYN doc what positions to try since one of them swims faster then the other to help it get there quicker of it's the boy sperm that is slower.. sounds silly I know but I was having trouble conceiving once and talked to my doc about it all.. and that is what I remember him telling me anyhow, in lue of it all.. |

There is not a "sure" way but scientifically , if you make love with your husband the day of your ovulation and the day before you will have a better chance of having a boy. Do not have sex 2-4 days before ovulation or you will increase your chances of a girl. |
