Possible, but not probable. It could be some other serious disease though, possibly West Nile. Call your local Game and Fish department, they'll have someone come out and collect the bird and take tests on it. Its a simple call, and important. |

Birds die from old age just like anything else. Could it not be as simple as that? |

Where do you live? If there have been any cases of bird flu where you live, then I might wonder. Otherwise, birds like all other living things eventually die. |

You might be overreacting, there would already be cases of birdflue known in your area before the robin dies of it.
Darlene:
if your cat has birdflue and you know it, then your vet has probably already contacted the authorities as soon as he told you. |

Where are you located? I am guessing you are in the U.S. and then I would say stop being paranoid, there is no chance. If you live somewhere where outbreaks have happened, then its possible, but still not probable.
You are WAY more likely to die in a car accident or from a common medical condition like cancer or heart disease than anything else, so if you are worried about dying, just eat right, exercise, and drive carefully with a seatbelt. |
