So far none have been discovered, so that is all we can say for sure.
It seems likely that when you consider all the worlds, there might be something we could classify as alive - or close to it - on some of them.
It is not particularly likely in my opinion that we would find living things that look just like us or other complex life forms that are on the Earth elsewhere, however.

...but don't expect the wider scientific community to come out and say that at the moment (heck they're having a hard time fighting for the right to teach basic science to kids - the evolution vs intelligent design debate).....so i guess we have to accept that at this point in their sociological and cultural evolution the human specie is just too bogged down by religion and theocracy to give serious thought to the possibility that it might not be a "God" that put them on this planet....the debate about alien life is a direct ofshoot of this and whenever this matter is settled in the future, people will be able to gain more insight into why alien life is a very very likely phenomenon in the universe.
