I've seen a lot of strange email addresses on a resume, and yours doesn't fit the bill. Go ahead and use it. |

Though I am not personally offended by your e-mail address, I would have you ask yourself if it think it gives a good impression about you. A prospective employer or hiring manager may question your judgment in using such an e-mail address for "professional purposes."
When you consider the fact that a hiring manager often has to decide among dozens if not hundreds of applicants, something as simple as an e-mail address can be all the reason for them to dismiss you as a candidate. It's all about putting your best foot forward. |

no its fine but if you want a more professional one then start a new one then just use that one for your resume |

yes that is too unprofessional unless your first name is Yellow and your last name is Pear.
Also, in my MBA program....professors advised against "yahoo", "hotmail"....they don't sound professional. "gmail" would be ok. In my opinion, a good one would be:
yourname@gmail.com (your name or variation of with initials and numbers if needed would be good). |

No, unless I am unaware of some vulgar/immature meaning to a "yellow pear"? |

i think that if you have to ask if its unprofessional you have your answer right there. you shouldnt have to ask. just go with what everyone else is saying.. use your name. |

I think it really depends on where you are sending this resume. If it's something really strict, then yes
If it's for a more simple, small business or something similar, most addresses are fine as long as they arent 'inappropriate'
I say better safe than sorry! just make a quick, free email address that just has your name or something, solely for resume and work related stuff :)
good luck! |

It's fine, so long as you're not going for a job at APPLE! (Sorry, stupid joke.) Yeah, it's fine. People don't necessarily look for something like "plaingraysuit@----.com." So long as it's not something inappropriate, its fine. |

I don't think so |

No.. unless yellowpear means something inappropriate
However, for your job search I'd recommend creating an email just for that. Perhaps something with your name.
example: sue_jones12@yahoo.com |

Best syntax for a good email address:
YOUR NAME (given name and surname)
take "Charmaine M. Fernandez" for example
charmainemfernandez@---.com
charmainefernandez@---.com
cmfernandez@--.com
cfernandez@--.com
*also:
1. avoid numerical character (1,2,3.....100)
2. adjective (colors, dimension, etc) |

yes, if its an office oriented work place. |

I wouldn't use it on my resume.
If you ever have to ask yourself a question like that, it will probably be better to assume it not professional enough. Even if it is ignored you will be more comfortable without using something that makes you wonder. And it is fairly easy to get another address- maybe even with a combined inbox with your old service/e-mail. |

I've used some really funny E-mail names on resumes. Many will say its unprofessional, but I have had good reactions. Many think its funny and that it stands out. I've even been embarrassed with them taking to me and told them I needed to change it and they said no, keep it. |

Yep... try something that has you first or last name in it! |

yes, make an email address with your name (first, last, initials, something to do with your name) you'll need it, trust me. |
