Yes !
...Even while in school (that was 11 years ago !), I had decided that I would make 'writing' my career. While in college, I decided that the pay will be a lot better in advertising than in journalism.
...And after 6 years in Advertising, I am now the Chief Copywriter of an Ad Agency - which has a hard-earned reputation for its creativity !
I didn't 'imagine' or 'envision' my future chum, I planned it ! |

I think in retrospect, if anything, I planned a little too well. I managed to obtain results beyond my wildest dreams. Even all the hard work that I eventually had to put into it in the end turned out to be a real blessing in disguise. I suppose the one true sacrifice was the partial loss of spontaneity and leisure time in my life - mainly due to the required focus and discipline in achieving my goals. Although, I must say to me that was a big price to pay - sometimes I feel like I've missed out on some great FUN in my life. ...I'm sure you probably won't believe me but I've always wanted to visit Alaska or perhaps even move there permanently - but never really found the time and/or the courage to do it. ...Who knows, maybe I'll include it into my next 5-year plan!!! ;-) |

My life is better actually. I have a new family, investment properties and a new job (a lateral move at work but, hey! a new way of learning my job is better than being in a stalemate with it)

I confess that I did not thought about that 5 years ago, but thinking about it today, I believe I could have done much better on material matters (money, work and so on), but on another hand I've improved a lot on "inside" and opinion matters.
Well, at least, that's my subjective opinion about myself!!
