Sorry to hear about your difficulties.
The first thing you need to do is log on to the job centre plus website.
It should give you all the advice you need.
You can also log on to the citizen's advice bureau and ring your bank and tell them about your difficulties.
Don't worry, they will have dealt with people in your situation before.
Good Luck |

If you don't mind non-desk work you could get a job on a construction site as a Chainman - basically lots of walking around a site in a hard hat, yellow jacket and setting out equipment. No qualifications necessary!
Typical salary of around £10ph, so you can bring in £400-£500 a week before tax.
My dad was made redundant in 1998 from a highly paid IT job. 18 months later, and still no IT job he took a job on a site as 'storesperson'. It paid the bills and he lost weight in the process. Fortunately he managed to get a new IT job eventually.. |

You could try a temp agency. I did that for a while.
If you haven't already, you could also apply for unemployment benefits. |

register for any social welfare entitlements tomorrow.
sell stuff you dont need.
go to a pub/party, get talking to people and ask if they know of any small odd jobs going.

1) sign on as soon as possible because they will not give you anything for a while(8 weeks i think)
2) go to the citizens advice bureaux and get CAB to reduce your payments to your creditors.
3) get any temp job (i mean anything). Temps are always offered jobs. |
