That sounds a hell of a lot.
On top of the war costs in Iraq and in Afghanistan.
And on top of the budget deficit Bush has run with year after year.
Plus the rising fuel costs

good question. in order to really feel and digest how much that is one has to start counting while keeping in mind that each number is a dollar bill! count to 2.5 trillion. i am still counting, i will get back to you as soon as i get there! i wonder how long that would take! i would suggest that to everyone! if you can even count that far that is ! peace |

Depends on who owns it. Us in the US spend over that amount everyday. Even some of the biggest companies spend that amount every year. So its not really too much now, but I wouldn't complain even if I got 1% of it!
Fannie Mae is actually controlled by our government and they pretty much put out loans to companies and people, so it doesn't really bother me that they would give them so much. |

And yes, it's a lot of money, but crashing the largest mortgage company in the States would be more expensive - it could crash your economy. |
