My mom made me sit down and watch a special with her that Oprah did on stuff like this (I was "behind" at one point as well) I don't know if she keeps copies of the episodes or anything in regards to it on her site but it was VERY i nformative. I recommend looking on her site to find more info on it. (I usually very much dislike Oprah) |

Collect your sales promptly. preferably in cash. Give insentive say 2% for early payment. Pay your bills in order ie the LAST posible date for each bill. Dispute some bills in writting to buy time and demand for credit note on any error befor you pay. |

1. both of you should get second jobs.
2. spend money only on necessities. eat only things like oatmeal and vegetables, pasta. drink only tap water.
3. cut out TV and Internet at least for a while. read a book instead
4. consolidate all your bills to one payment.
5. call your creditor before they call you and let them know of your critical situation and ask them to lower your interest rate if you could miss a payment . creditors will work with you if you are open and up front with them.
