A know it all. At least a clueless idiot doesn't realize their clueless, so it's easier to pat them on the head and say "That's okay, you're just a clueless idiot." But you can't talk or reason with a "know it all."

depends on whether the clueless idiot realizes he is one. If that is the case then, he should be willing to remedy the situation, whereas a know it all, has the illusion of always being right, and has no desire to change.
