Tell him it will make a good foundation for a college degree or for getting a house. You might also tell him it will be used to pursue a dream... |

Your dad just gave you a Retorical Question. There is no real answer that you can give that will prompt him to give it to you!
Possibly that you are starting a savings fun or something like investment. |

Well, 2000 pounds equals a ton, so you could tell him you have a ton of reasons (Ha Ha). |

tell him you want to invest part of it in stock, want to use part to start a savings account or to deposit into a savings account, want to buy a bond and want to buy him and your mom a small "just because I love you" gift and the little that is left you want him to suggest what he would do with it. If he says no you have to decide the entire 2000 pounds, then say you want to pay a utility bill......he will l-o-v-e you for that and if you have enough left you want to go to a movie, or game or whatever.
good luck |

You should invest it. Put the money in a savings account for your future. Not only would you get the cash, but it would also collect interest. Or, if you need a new car, it could be a down payment. What are things that you want/need? You could also just tell him that having the cash would teach you responsibility. |
