I think that you are wise to not want to involve the police (yet?). They may not be able to help unless (and until?) he breaks the law. There was a little old lady with a hole in her blanket so she cut it out and cut that out and the hole just kept getting bigger and bigger, right? Try to make the problem smaller. If the guy is infatuated with your daughter, rejection or embarrassment could set him off if he is a loony, a small chance of that perhaps but with possible very bad consequences. Perhaps play good cop/bad cop. You confront him pleasantly and show interest in him and acknowledge that your daughter suspects he shows interest in her. Ask if true. Then drop the bad news that your husband is very strict and won't allow dates without knowing the boy thoroughly and approving each date; and your daughter isn't even interested in dating yet. Explain to him that harrasement is considered showing too much unwanted attention, after being made aware of it. You don't want his feelings hurt, etc. Only you know the ages involved so you have to use your own best judgement. Good luck. |

You should go to the police. Get a restraining order. With this he will not be allowed within 300(?)feet of her.
He will get the message the first time you call the cops.
If your husband takes things into his own hands, they would try him the same as if he killed a human being. :) |

Involve the police!!! Let everyone in your neighborhood know about him!!! In form your daughters school or work. This needs to be stopped now and you need to be MORE aggressive than hes is you need to be MORE un-relenting than he is and you need to be MORE pro- active than he is. Do whatever you have to to stop him in his tracks...Post flyer's, anything that will make it hard for him...Tell your husband that this stalker is the criminal here and that he dose not want to be the one who ends up in jail!!! |

If you have no confidence in your local police - try the state police.
If this person is a sex offender and is registered - then you have some real tools to fight him off.
One thing your daughter can do is arm herself with a camcorder and record every incident.
Do get professional support - if you really don't want to deal with the police yourself - you may try to see if you can find a support group for victims of bullying or for people who have been stalked. This information may be available at your local hospital.
Whatever you do - do not give in to the temptation to shoot or assault this person. The system is terribly lopsided and most law abiding citizens don't know half the tricks that career criminals know.
Only other option - is a bodyguard. |

Call the police. Take out a restraining order. Have no idea why you wouldn't want to involve the police, but this is the most sensible way to handle it. |

i know you don't want to call the police but a situation like this could get out of hand,first,i would have your daughter tell him to leave her alone or shes going to the police.perhaps you and your husband could be w her when she tells him to reinforce it or if he gets psycho.if he still refuses to stop stalking,i would go to the police and get a restraining order a.s.a.p. it ts better to be safe than sorry and even though you know him he could be a real nutball,so protect yourselves and go to the police before harm comes to your daughter and family. |

well if the guy is a minor I would suggest calling his parents and informing them that the next step will be contacting the police if it doesn't stop....if he is over 18 however I wouldn't hesitate to call the police....if he is a stalker in your opinion than that means that he is obsessed....there is no telling how far he will go or what he will do....and also to prevent your husband from going to jail for kicking the crap out of this guy or worse.....take a look at your options and way out the suggestions.....whatever it may be I wish the best of luck to you.....I have had a stalker myself before.....it isn't easy to deal with.....but kindness isn't always a option |

Contact his parents... They should be a good help at controling there son. If that dont work then I would get the law involved. You dont want to put your daughter's life at risk... Get it taken care of and I mean quick... |

give him a drink with ghb in it and when he wakes up tell him that he got drunk and married your daughter and you're all going to tell his family together...then make him ride a burro while wearing a sombrero as a "welcome to the family" tradition, tell him that of course you'll expect him to take over your housework and cooking until he finds a good enough job to support your daughter in the lifestyle to which she's become accustomed. |
