I recieved this call as well and have found no info regarding it as yet for the person that asked about cellular Do not call, yes you can be added to the list and last time I checked it was illegal to use autodialers on cell numbers, for creditors to call on cell numbers and for solicitors to call cell numbers. these are all chargable offenses LAST TIME I CHECKED 2YRS AGO with the FCC. (I had to give a solicitor an attitude adjustment. ($500 fine) |

Why don't you dial the number and see who it is. Unless they are very good with the voodoo I don't think they can kill you over the phone. |

go to whitepages.com and type in the number this might tell you who is calling the call is coming from miami florida |

That happend to me!!! With the same number too. It was a random call, same date, and message in Spanish. They just called me once though. They haven't called again and I think it's best to leave it at that. But if they call again please let me know. I also think they're scammers. Not stalkers. |

Don't answer the phone. It's likely scammers. They tend to call a lot. It's likely they don't even know who you are, they're just dialing random numbers. I'm assuming of course you haven't spoken to them? If you answer the phone and they harrass you, just give all of the information you have to the police. Don't give them any info. |

u r wise 2 b aware, however i would imagine it is sales calls, a lot of these sales calls are automated to ring u and half the time there is no one there cos they r talking on the line that someone else has just picked up.raise your suspisions with a sensible adult. |

I was called by the same number today. I called it back and it says the person has traveled outside of the area and cannot be reached. |

I just received the same call on my cell and I received on Sunday as well. I am not sure what it is. I am going to research to find out though. I will definitely keep in touch to let you know what I find out! |

I was called last night from that same number and didn't answer. I called it from work today and got the same message, that they were unavailable or outside the area. The area code is in Florida. I don't know anyone there. |

Dude, I'm freaked the f*** out because I just got a call as well and I looked up the number on the net and saw that all of these other people got the call as well!!! I'm trying not to freak out, but it is NOT working. If anybody finds out anything, please email me!!! liltrojan6@yahoo.com

This is a random dial phone scam I have reported it to both the Phone Company and local Miami police where the area code is coming from. It is really annoying they have called like 3 times. 5 of my coworkers got calls from the same number days apart. Not cool |

The same thing happened to me twice with that number. First time was a couple of months ago; the second time was today. In both cases, I called back--having not answered either time--and both times I got a busy signal.
The first time I called back, I used my Net2Phone card, because I was concerned that calling this number on my cell might result in some weird charge to my wireless bill. Today, I simply let my cell phone call it back. Busy signal both times, as indicated.
Anyway, I hope it's not some kind of scam via which a hefty charge gets tacked onto your phone bill when you call back. Going to keep an eye out. |

The phone number "(786) 879-6669" is based in Miami, FL and the registered carrier is Florida Cellular Service, Inc. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier. Per the white pages...I checked cuz I just rec'd a missed call from that same number |

have u figured out who called, cause i was just called too and looked it up and found your question...so did they tell u anything? cause they told me something about thank u for being their customer then to press the #1 to get something but i hung up after that. they said it in spanish. |

This is a scammer.
It isn't scary, it is just completely annoying. The recording you hear is in Spanish, but not just any Spanish -- it is clearly a speaker from Spain, not the more common Cuba/PR/Mexico Spanish you hear in Florida.
I cannot call the number back, it just gives a fast-busy.
It is currently in the batch of numbers for Florida Cellular Service, Inc. If you want to complain, complain to Metro PCS -- they're the ones harboring these scumbags.

I just got this call at 3:15pm today march 30th, i didnt answer because i left my cell inside while i was outside.
i googled the number and came to this forum here so its wierd that everyone has had this person/scammer/company/number whatever call everyone else too... glad you guys have done some research on it though cuz it is annoying, my cell phone is a business phone and i do not appreciate worthless calls...

my mom got that same call also, today.....i read some of yalls posts earlier and yall all got phone bills....my moms a pre-paid phone, so there is no bill really...would her number be actually listed?..so if she tries to call it back it will waste her min......has anybody actually answered the call yet? |

I live in Georgia and also received a call on my cell from this number. I have cingular service. I got the call today 30th march 2006 at 9:22 AM...I was at work and didn't answer the call. I hardly ever get calls from unknown people. I hope this isn't the start of me being on a calling list. Can we add out cell phone numbers to the government do not call list? Anyone know? I mean I'm sure we can but does that even cover cell phones? |

Our company is being called by 7868796669. The person is speaking spanish. Its a recording that we think is hooked up to a computer because it is calling every phone directly in the company. We have almost 300 people in the company. We are investigating it and working on a way to block the number. |
