My items listed in ebay ended a week ago with no bidder .?
But I received email from someone who claimed that he was interested to purchase my item and asked me to give him my account number . Should I trust him? By the way I really wonder where he got my email address when the ebay does not have your email address shown unless you bid for an item.
Can someone advise me?
I would avoid doing it, because if anything goes wrong, it's not sactioned by Ebay and so you lose their legal support! Don't risk it. Perhaps just try listing the item again and telling the individual that if he's interested in bidding on it, it can be found at such-and-such link. This way you have the protection of Ebay should something go wrong.

nope, don't trust hm

Something sounds wrong... I'd forget it all together, or list it as a buyitnow on ebay and have him buy it there

There are always people trying to get your ebay and paypal information. Tell them you will relist the item but don't give them any personal info.
jannie
do not give anyone your account number on the internet
he doesn't need it anyway

His email should have come through ebay. If not, don't mess with it! Don't trust him. Just relist your items. If they want to buy it they can bid.

Go into your ebay "my ebay" page. If the message is showing in there it is legit. If it is not, report it to ebay immediately. It may be just one of many ebay type scams that are going around. Ebay has a page on their site that tells all about the different scams going around and what to watch out for. If there is any doubt in your mind just relist the item and tell them to bid on it.

it could be some scammer asking you to ship product to his son/another person in nigeria if you get msgs like this delete them immediatly and DONT respond to it from ebay messeges or you will get suspennded from ebay for having that e-mail in your ebay msgs will only get you a fast beautiful lovely unjust monopolistic guilty with now appeal suspension from Ebay and once you try to reinstatet your account you have to sign a paper saying that your guilty of whatever reason they suspended you for and you agree not to repeat it again(just coz that person contacted you)or any other stupid reason
Ebay is the Online Market PLace That steals your money and suspends users for stupid reasons

Don't give them personal information, follow the advice of the previous poster, relist the item, and tell them to bid.

Don't trust anyone no matter how convincing they are, just relist it. If he is still interested in it he'll bid on it. Simple as that.
