Ok first of all I do empathize with you. I understand that every child has to be given attention to especially to one as young as you. But maybe it was necessary to sacrifice something such as a gift for you for the necessity of the family right?
Look on the bright side dude, maybe your parents will make it up to you in the future... Maybe they are saving money to give you an even better gift.. No one here would send you a gadget that would cost more than $100.
Just be happy with what you have! I am 19 and i don't even have an iPod but i am quite satisfied with what i have and don't have. Yes i want an iPod but i don't post multiple questions asking people to just send you one. Probably the best thing to do would be to just save money to buy what you want.
Understand the predicament that your parents are in, heck basic necessities are much more important than entertainment! Be glad that you already have an entertainment in the computer that you are using right now. I didn't get a birthday gift as well when i was a 13 year old and i was pretty fine with it, that's life! |

You sound like my 11 year old nephew. You probably didn't get anything for your birthday because of the suprise water heater issue. Do you have food in your belly everyday? Do you have clothes to wear? A roof over your head? A computer to ask your silly little question? Ya, you probably have all of these things. You probably have a whole room full of junk that you don't even use.
Do you know where all of this stuff comes from? It comes from the people who love you. These people who love you probably work very hard all day long everyday so you can have all the things that I mentioned above.
Now here are your parents, facing an emergency that must be addressed, and here you are being a little selfish brat who needs to grow up a little realize that you need to work hard just to be able to survive; and work even harder to have the things that you want.
You're 13 years old now. Get a paper route or something and buy your own damned Vugo if you want one.

I'm sorry. :( That sounds very sad. I don't know what a Vugo is, but maybe you can get it for Christmas. And just think, the water heater can be a gift to you, because some people don't have one, or at least not a good one, and they're cold and have to take cold showers and can't do laundry, so just think how lucky you are! thats not a question ,but if i were you i would think about how your parents try hard to support you and pay bills. In less than 2 years that vugo would have been history be thankful for what have not for what you dont have. if you want it so bad then earn it yourself. |

there are a lot of people somewhere in this world freezing to death ... you are having the chance to stay warm and healthy in cold winter nights, and live to see another birthday ... be thankful that your parents are able to afford that for you, you should kiss both their hands and feet for that. |
