My rent is due tommorow and I am short half what should I do?

I made some real bad money decisions this month and now my rent is due and I only have half ... I can have the rest in a week but dont want to be in that situation with my landlord its hard because I work full time and have a baby who I barley see....I missed work because of sick days and stuff...... I am working to correct this problem in the future .... but need a solution now..... help

if this is temporary, use a pawnshop. the only real thing you need is shelter and food.

You could ask for $$ help here on this site--but don't look at me. But best way is to just tellthe LL and tell him you'll have it in a week and that it will never happen again.

Quickly put a New Deadbolt lock on the Door to be sure the Landlord can not get in. DO NOT Answer the Door for any reason, even, if, it is the Police. It should take the Landlord about 3 months before they can get anything done legally.

I would discuss this with your landlord and see if you can make a deal. I know that it is embarrassing but you have to do what you have to do. If your landlord accepts the deal, get it in writing just in case that you need proof.

Being a landlord, I would prefer my tenant told me they were going to be late. If it was the first time, I might waive the late fee. No communication makes landlords VERY nervous.

Say sorry to your land lord & canditly describe your actual
position. I am sure he will understand. Also tell him that
this will be never repeated again.
