i wanna buy something off the internet, but i odnt have a credit card...how do i get a money order? i have a savings account at bank of america too? dont know if that helps.

I used to work at a video store. This pretty little blonde would come in, and I'd always say, "Hello!" and she'd completely ignore me. So I decided I was going to ignore her, too.
After a few months, she came in with a friend. They came to the counter to pay, and I said, "Two dollars" (or whatever) and she ignored me. So I just waited. And waited. Finally, her friend said, "She's deaf. She reads lips."
So hard to get my foot out of my mouth. But once I understood, we got to be good friends. Instead of saying "hello," I'd walk up to her and touch her elbow. I knew that as long as we had eye contact, she could read what I was saying. And so on ...
That was in Helena, Montana. I can't remember her name - it's been a few years now - but I remember her face and wonder what she's doing. Miss her!
...that probably doesn't help at all, but it's a good story.

In a way you are very fortunate - your hearing aid will weed out superficial men - call it a "filtering" system. I'm guessing that most women would not want to be with a man who would care if a woman wore a hearing aid. Consider yourself fortunate to be able to put men through that test. Some men might consider it a plus to be able to mutter things under their breath and not get busted for it. |

There are a lot of hearing aids which can be concealed, so a guy won't notice ur hearing aid. U could always ask a guy if he's ok with u having a hearing aid. Or if u develop an internet friendship, or u and ur best guy friend fall for each other, it wouldn't matter if u had a hearing aid. It's best to be friends with a guy first before taking it to the next level(especially when u have a disability). |

Well, I think a guy should like you for who you are. But if guys care if you have a hearing aid then tell them they should like you for who you are.

Just be yourself. Anyone who won't date you because of a little thing like a hearing aid isn't worth dating. With patience, you will find someone who likes you just the way you are and will find your hearing aid more cute than anything. |
