I just want everyones opinion on this one. Why do you believe one is worse than the other?

I think that alcohol because it affects the brain the same way that a drug does. Smoking isn't good either, though, because of secondhand smoke and the effects it has on the lungs.

If you drink too much Alcohol, you become labeled an Alcoholic. But that doesn't affect me unless you get behind the wheel of a car...
As for Cigarettes, they just make you stink,(especially when I have to walk through it on my way into the mall, grocery store, drug store, etc...) and the smoke then pollutes the air, my lungs, my friends lungs, family, pets, etc... Who cares about what the smoker is doing to themselves!
So, I'd have to say they both rank as the same evils in my book. |

cigarettes are worse. definitely.
alcohol is actually not bad. when you drink TOO MUCH of it, though, then that becomes very bad. but naturally alcohol helps in improving one's health for they contain minerals and compounds which help in making your bloodstream healthy and clean.
but cigarettes? besides the fact that it only kills your lungs, it has no real purpose at all. it contains nicotine. nicotine is a component the body is more than happy to get away from. people use cigarettes to relieve stress, but there are other alternatives for that. when you smoke, not only do you get harmed, the people who inhaled your smoke is TWICE as harmed. the cigarette butts plus the smoke you throw cause pollution. you have a horrible breath. you have drought-y lips.

Cigarettes are worse because second-hand smoke is worse than the actual puffing on the cigarette, so a smoker will kill those around him before he kills himself.
A drunk will make your life miserable but as long as he is not violent and does not drive under the influence, he'll only kill himself. |

well i have tried both and the alcohol does a lot of damage to a lot of your internal organs while smoking affects your entire respirtory system so which ever one is worse to you honey, ps cigarettes give you a horrible cough, and alcohol tears your insides especially your stomach up really bad |

Don't do either, they both will kill you. By the way, cigarettes (nicotene) is the most addictive drug you can take. My opinion: they should both be illegal. But, the government makes way too much money on each of them for that to ever happen. |

Both, especially in excess, but if i had to pick one I'd say cigarettes. I believe that one cigarette probaby had a greater affect on your health that one beer, one shot of whiskey, etc. But this is not a scientific answer, of course. |
