Yes I've used it for years. Just be careful because a few times I got e-mails that said they were from Paypal asking me to re input my info. They looked official, but it didn't fool me. |

Yes! Please be careful if you get mail from paypal saying your account is closed or someone has used your account. This is a website for phishers trying to get your information. If you ever get these, delete them or report them to spam@paypal.com. I always go directly to the site to see if there are any problems or call customer service. I never reply to those e-mails! Paypal is a very secure site and is useful to many! |

Paypal is VERY safe. Very good service. The only things you need to be careful with is what you spend it on. Some people get really hooked on using it. |

Pay pal is a safe way for you and the business owner to do business. They don't even receive your account information. They just get the money, and you get the product. |

l'm still hesitant to activate my account because I don't trust it. I'm planning on opening a "special" account at our credit union for just this purpose.
Be careful though....... periodically I get fake Paypal e-mails asking me to verify my name and password. I fell for in once and it was a pain in the neck getting all our info changed.
When Paypal contacts you, they will ALWAYS use your name! The fake ones begin with "Dear Paypal Member". |

It's safe. I've been using PayPal for years and never had a problem.
Use a bank account if you're selling. Use a CC if you're buying. |

From Personal Experience as an Ebay Seller it doesnt matter if you have good feedback or not
i DONOT recomend Paypal as a method of payment
paypal is good if you are using your Debit/credit card mastercard /visa to purchasing stuff online.
even with them by accepting paypals agrement you accept that fact you waive your rights as a customer to many aspects of thier service and chargebacks and you accept that they have full access AND AUTHORIZATION to USE your bank and credit card.
ALWAYS OPEN A NEW BANK AND DEBIT/CREDIT CARD
FOR PAYPAL WITH NO OR LITTLE MONEY IN IT AND NEVER LEAVE MONEY IN PAYPAL IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS NEGATIVE THEY WILL DIRECT DEPOSIT FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD AUTOMATICALLY OR WITHDRAW FROM YOUR BANK WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION and you will only receive an e-mail saying funds have been withdrawn from your account automatically
ONCE THEY LIMIT YOU AND YOU CANT RESTORE ACCOUNT YOU HAVE TO WAIT ATLEAST
180 BUSINESS DAYS TO RECEIVE FUNDS as cheque this is if they send it
if you ever got Limited and want to call paypal
DONT call thier 402 number you will only be wasting money and time waiting for around 30 minutes to speak to a Customer No Service rep.Call thier Toll Free Number that they hide from thier site
1 (888) 221-1161 for USA and Canada
Before calling Paypal check thier Help Page and use all options stated in thier help page
Example(to confirm location you have 3 options:
1)add credit card with expanded use number
2)landline phone call from paypal
3)receive letter by postal mail to your mailing address .
if you keep on getting add credit card and you already did add one you have 2 options that you can use verify by phone if that doesn't work then they should mail you the papers by mail takes 7 days so when you call be like i this is what it says on the help page i have 3 options i already aded credit card
keep on repeating it be like i dont have another credit/debit even if you do insist that you dont and you want to use those other options available to you for free to confirm address instead of wasting time and money on faxing them your info is nothing but to confirm who u r but it doesnt confirm your address and YOU STILL l have to Do step to confirm address and when you call them they will always tell you send an e-mail to this department they will look into it e-mail no matter how stupid the issue is)
if you are a SELLER then you are in deeeeeep Trouble for Any Reason you can get limited for:
1)sharing internet
2)living in same household
3)having similar lastname, first name or different paypal accounts
4)if your freind have paypal n used it to pay for your ebay sellers fees or even buying an item for u ,if your paypal is limited his/her will get limited too linked accounts n to restore u need to let all parties restore thier accounts to get restored
5)other stupid reason
For example users A B C D E F if user A payed using his paypal for to buy something on B ebay's thru paypal they are linked now B used internet to check paypal at C house they are linked if C D live together then all linked by address and if F send money to E twice and then Send it to D then once Account A gets limited accounts A B C D E F will all be limited as they are linked together and in order for them to restore account everyone should submit all the info n wait for the others to restore thier accounts ,and i dare you to explain to them how ur not linked to these ppl now or when your paypal will be restored
IF You want to Sell On EBAY and use Paypal please use this advice:
1)have original receipt of item you are selling
2)ALWAYS SHIP WITH TRACKING and keep receipts(even for a 1$ item you sold doesnt matter they want tracking dont be cheap or it will bite you back by refunding customers full amount I AM SERIOUS)
3)One IP address Per household per paypal/Ebay
4)Keep a copy of Auction including terms and conditions of sale: refunds exchange, returns.
5)keep a copy of all E-mails/correspondence between seller and buyer
if you do most of this then you might be lucky not getting Limited
for more info please visit paypal sucks website
THE fastest way they would restore is if you hit them with a lawsuit by hiring an attorney |

I never had a problem from them. Paypal is a legitimate company. Make sure that you have a very good anti-spyware and antivirus in your computer. |

PayPal has one of the worst track records for on-line safety and security. Use your Visa/MC. PP is not your friend! |

PayPal is an Internet business which allows the transfer of money between email users and merchants, avoiding traditional paper methods such as checks/cheques and money orders. PayPal also performs payment processing for e-commerce vendors, auction sites, and other corporate users, for which they charge a fee. Corporate headquarters are in San Jose, California; it is now an eBay company. |

Yes, it is safe. Just make sure it is the REAL Paypal because I get e-mails all the time from people posing as Paypal trying to get me to add an account and things like that. As long as you go directly to Paypal.com and set it up it is safe. I have used it for years also with no problems. |
