It is one of the oldest and most common cons on the net. If no one can convince you otherwise, send him an e-mail requesting that he handle the transfer via money order or cashier's check. I wouldn't bother -- especially since any response may encourage additional spam scams.
Expect other similar mails from prices, ministers of this or that, and from the widows of this or that minister or president or king or prince -- not to mention the sons and daughters of such titles. I get some variation of this scam in my spam at least every couple of months.

A couple of years ago, some TV programme sorted this guy out, as every one else is saying it's a scam, he robbed loads of unsuspecting persons, I'll bet he's out of jail and doing it again. bet he doesn't realise people have long memories. You could reply and say something very very nice like get lost or words to that effect. |

It is a con, Its been out there for ages once you give out your details your bank account will be emptied and you'll have direct debits and standing orders set up. Why would a nigerian prince email you and where would he get your email from. This email is sent to millions of people in the hope they will get some bank details |

Don't do it. This is one of the oldest scams in the book. Use your common sense. If a prince needed to travel, even in secret, do you really think he would use email to communicate with someone about it? |

Why the hell would a Nigerian Prince want or need to put £7m into your bank account? Think about it! The only thing that will come out of this is your bank account emptied and a very rich "Nigerian Prince" somewhere. The very fact that you've asked on here suggests to me that you think something is wrong and it is - very wrong. I've had a few like this, one saying a relative in Africa has left me loads of money, I just need to send my bank account details to verify it - shall I tell you what I did? I DELETED IT and so should you! |

just ignore it. It's a scam to steal your money. If you ever get something strange just google a sentence from the e-mail and you'll find loads of spam forums warning you about it. |
