Hey Toto, wake up you're in Kansas already. U like songs ?? and music, they're poems as well. From simplistic to complex, our tastes vary and that my dear is the spice o' life. You aren't gonna like everthing but there will be a poem for you somewhere. If all else fails, stick to the ones that rhyme. lol |

I will tell you who I can't stand. That's you!!! You can report me if you want, but stop stalking me! You are so obsessed with your stupid points, you don't even realize how stupid you sound with all your answers! If it bothers you so much that I don't ALWAYS have to give you points, then just leave me alone, and don't answer my questions anymore!!! You told me that you would "remember my name", so I am just gonna say one more thing, and I won't say anything else.
STALKER!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends. Poetry can be an interesting thing to try to interpret. To discuss various interpretations of. Good poetry is an expression of thought and emotion, and as such will not be experienced exactly the same by any two people. But that only holds true if you're into it. One should not be forced to do it. Among the intellectual, poetry and literature is sometimes a bit overrated, in my opinion. Something to use to plaster a pretentious image of depth on a person. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, but if you aren't into it, it doesn't make you stupid or ignorant. |

Poetry can be boring and difficult to understand,but when Walt Whitman wrote O Captain! My Captain ! to commerate the assasinated President Abraham Lincoln he brought forth all the power and majesty that only can be expressed thru poetry. O Captain ! my Captain our fearful trip is done;The ship has weathered every rack,the prize we sought is won;
The port is near the bells I hear, the people all exulting,While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring But O heart! heart! heart! O the bleeding drops of red, Where on the deck my Captain lies, Fallen cold and dead verse 1 or the poem How do I love thee let me count the ways, by Elizabeth Barret Browning surely , you must love the words !! |

I love poetry. I've been writing poetry since high school. Poetry lets you write about your life, your experiences, how you feel ECT. It's very rewarding to put your thoughts for all to enjoy just from how you felt that day. very relaxing too, writing it that is. It also lets you express yourself. |

I think poetry becomes more meaningful the older you get, the more you have time to live through or experience. In life, it seems to me that beauty gets deeper and love bigger and passion greater the more we experience it. Dont give up! It could just be the poetry you were aquainted with that sucked!! |

Don't remember much of it from high school, really, except the names of some of the major poets. Later, though, when I took English in college, I think that I had a better appreciation of it. A few I memorized and remember to this day. |

I didn't like it in highschool. I appreciate it now that I am older. Actually I love it when I find a good poem that relates to something in my life in one way or another. I don't sit in poetry groups and recite it or anything. But sometimes I will write it. I guess really it depends on the person but I like it. |

there is a poem for everyone. can't find yours? try this one:
IN ALL THE WORLD WE HEAR FROM TOTO
WITH A QUESTION THAT SHE DONNO
OH, YOU SAY IT'S PRONOUNCED TOTO
THEN THAT'S WHAT WE'LL CALL YOU BOO
POEMS CAN RYME AND THEY CAN NOT
DEPENDS ON WHAT THE POET'S GOT
TO SAY ABOUT THE ONE HE CHOSE
AND HOW HE FIT IT INTO PROSE
HE COMPARES YOU TO A DOGGIE'S TAIL
THAT ALWAYS WIGGLE WITHOUT FAIL
OR A FLOWER, LIKE A ROSE
THAT PLAYS IT'S SONG FOR JUST YOUR NOSE
WORDS ARE WHAT THE POET USE
TO TELL THE WORLD OF WHAT HE CHOOSE
FULL OF WONDER, THAT IS YOU
BE IT TOTO OR TOTO |

I love poetry!!! I write it all the time. Sometimes the textbook is ridiculous, but there is a meaning that you can see in most poetry. I think you are just not trying hard enough. |
