I won an item on Ebay Friday morning and paid immediately upon winning through paypal. It said payment received etc. On the sellers description it said will ship in 2 to 4 days and after emailing the seller they said it would be shipped Tuesday and that I would get a tracking number. Well it is Wednesday afternoon, I have sent a couple more emails over to them and I have heard nothing. I requested their information and I have their number. How long should I realistically wait before I contact them or start the resolution process with ebay if I don't hear back from them soon. I mean, this seller has been horrible with communication and the item is expensive! How often do people get scammed on Ebay? |

Well, I think you have 7 days before you can file a claim. If you do not receive by next week, then file. I have had times where I never got tracking but got my product. Sometimes large sellers do not check there EBAY email because they get tons of questions. I would be patient. Do they have a large and positive feedback? |

yes that seems to be what happens...but you must see where the person lives and where you live.. is there storms that are holding up the mail system. also you did great on doing your part if it states will ship in 2 - 4 days then you must wait at least 2 - 4 days for the shipping...good luck... |

I would wait a week and see if it came in the mail. Although not an exuse for not writing you back they are probably just busy or don't care enough to write back. I've had the same problem quite a few times and the item always came. |

Give it some time, did they say it was Priority Mail in the item description? DId you read their feedback to see how they handle other auctions that have been closed? I'd say call them if you have their number, it won't hurt and it will put your mind at ease. But realisticly you should wait at least a week before starting a dispute. give them a few days to ship and a few days to receive the item. But go ahead and call them to see what they say. If they are still unresponsive, file a dispute with PayPal, they will have to provide tracking infornation or give you your money back. People don't get scammed on eBay very ofen, they have lots of protection for the buyers, and virtually none for the sellers. Sellers get scammed, er, not paid all the time. |

You should always be for bidding check their feedback and see what other customers say then decide to take the chance or not I have never had any problem other then a long wait for an item and lack of communication on same item |

I have been ordering off e-bay or 9 years and I have never had a problem with not receiving the item. Check the sellers rating, if it is bad start the resolution process with eBay, if it is good, give it time. Things can take awhile and maybe the seller got sick or something, that happened to me once. They got sick and it shipped out a week later than promised |

I'd wait another day or two before worrying! If they sell lots of things they get busy and it's hard to keep up on e-mails from everyone. As long as they had good feedback, you probably don't have a problem. Sometimes they think they will get it out, but something comes up and it ends up going out a day or two late! At least that's been my experience when I sold on there! |

I have never been scammed. I would wait another day or so, the person maybe at work, or have a lot more items to box up and ship or something else. Slow down they will e-mail you when they are able to. |

I would wait til tomorrow afternoon just to be safe to get in touch with them about what's taking them so long with the shipping (dont' word it in that way). Sometimes ppl don't check their e/m regularly so you have to give this person time.
Unfortunately, E-bay gives Sellers a grace period that they need to send their package by which means you can't complain to them about this for another week or so.

If you know their phone number, keep on calling them, If you have the tracking number check if he/she/it sent the package, if not leave as many negative feedbacks and report him/her/it to ebay. if it was very expensive $300+ or around that, call the police, or if it was $1000+ Call the FBI |
