Question about eBay Fraud? Please help!?
I just redcently had put an item in my eBay account to sell, it was put to sell for $700.00 and today i got an e-mail saying that it was sold. A couple minutes after that, i received another one from the buyer saying that she was hit by an eBay "frauder" that was using her account to buy items. She also said that she was going to file an eBay claim with them. Is there any way for me to know that this is true and not just her trying to get out of buying the item? Is there any way that maybe i can ask for proof from eBay through her that this is true? Thanks...

I'm sure you can contact ebay, but have heard the service from them is bad. I've also heard that there is a lot of that type of fraud on ebay, but would question her sending you an email a couple minutes afterwards. I wonder if she didn't bid, then change her mind???

I would tell the story to ebay..let them work it out, they know what's going on and will inform you.

sounds like a scam to me.. I'd contact eBay & ask for the log file

login to your ebay account and select dispute console from left side of the window and follow directions from there.

Next time review all bidders before end of listing, you can remove bad bidders from item.

She will obviously not be paying and it will not be you that is liable. If she fails to pay, they will be in touch with her anyway.
E-Bay cannot give you proof but should allow you to re-list the item once the mess is sorted out. I would recommend just forwarding that e-mail she sent you plus a link to your item and a small explanation to Customer Service. They will help you!

you can contact ebay, but it sounds to me like your customer backed out.

She must make a claim to ebay and they must tell you. I would also follow up with ebay myself. This is happening very frequently with ebay these days. Out of 5 items I 'sold,' 3 were frauds or potential frauds. I would suggest trying another outlet for selling. I know amazon has good rates and, supposedly, a better record against fraud. good luck!

ebay won't give you any info on another's account. but it sounds to me like she backed out. look on her account, see if shes had any feedback recently for stuff she bought. you can also contact paypal as a seller and ask them if it's true. again, they won't give you specifics, but they can confirm if it's true or not.

At the ebay website, go to Security and Resolution and report the situation.

If this person is simply trying not to pay for the item, ebay will discontinue his or her ability to bid at ebay and relist your item at no charge.

NEVER believe any e-mail CLAIMING to be from e-BAY directly. To be sure, ALWAYS go to your actual eBAY account and see if the e-mail is there on their web site. If it is there at the eBAY site in your mailbox, it is REAL. Othrwise, it is a SCAM.
I get LOADS of these scam e-mails. Another way to check: put your mouse pointer over the link they want you to respond to, and then LOOK DOWN AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SCREEN. This tells you where the link REALLY GOES. If it does not say: HTTPS://WWW.eBay.Com and something after that, ESPECIALLY if it does not have the "S" after the http, it is a scam. Forward these FAKE e-mails to: SPOOF@eBAY.COM exactly as you got it. Do n ot change anything or add to it. They trace and follow up such scams, known as PHISCHING

Sounds like bs to me. I would be 99% certain that she is just trying to get out of it - to contact you minutes later sounds sus, and the fraudsters aren't so likely to purchase items as they are to sell them, then never send it and pocket the money sent to their own bank account.

I would contact ebay with the details, send them copies of her emails and ask for them to clarify. They will advise you accordingly, and are usually very quick to respond (30 mins max).
