Pet sitting. Make up a flyer and distribute it through your neighborhood and put up a flyer in your local grocery store or at school on the bulletin board. You can feed and exercise people's dogs who are too busy, out of town or too old to get out. |

Definitely a lawn care business.....start off with a cheap old mower and maybe a rake or some bush trimmers.
Then once you make a little money you can upgrade your equipment to make your job easier, get done faster, and ultimately be able to do more lawns...thus make more money! |

There are no easy ways to earn money that are legal. Earning money requires effort on your part-a job like yard work for neighbors, chores at home for an allowance, tutoring younger children who are having problems in school, paper route, or washing cars for neighbors. The type of work that is available depends on where you live and what your parents will allow you to do.The most important job for any 13 year old is school although it doesn't earn any money now it will make it easier to earn a living as an adult. |

You type up tapes of interviews and such that are sent to you for money and you get paid by the hour. It's not a bad job really. You look like you have proper grammar skills (I assume you're asking for one for yourself) and can type half-assedly so why not, I say!
You could also invest in a paper round, but I believe that's for 14 year olds - at least it is around here. Though, that hasn't stopped 12, 11, or even 10 year olds from applying. One year difference wouldn't make a lot of difference if you're happy to, I guess.
Carwash is another quick-earner. Not sure how much it pays, though.

11- if you are good in your studies tutor
12-clean-up after ball games or other events
13-wash out the road-side trash cans
14-chores mom and dad have for you
15-washing dogs
16-water the plants the pets for vacationing neighbors or take in their mail/paper/turn lights on and off for them.
17-offer to work as waiter/bus boy/girl at a family members party or gathering

my brother used to mow yards and wash cars around the neighborood. He also picked up dead animals off of the road for the city one year, I think he was 15 for that. Fix things around the house for the elderly. |
