You do need salt in your body. Just not in excess amount. But yeah having salt on popcorn and fries are much better. |

your body needs some salt! you cannot avoid all salt and remain healthy, the trick is balance!make sure you have enough potassium in your diet as well. And use natural sea salt or celtic salt which is allot better for the body and has minerals as well. |

If you truly are a salt fan you try sea salts. They are more potent in flavor there fore you can use less salt.Thry carry trace minerals as well |

Try vegetable seasoning on the popcorn. It's got a lot of flavor without the salt. If your at a movie theater try twizzlers instead of their popcorn, most of the time it won't have much flavor(especially if you don't add all the salt and butter goo). The vegetable seasoning might work on fries but most of the time when I eat fries they come from a fast food joint and I don't have a choice on the amount of salt, so just don't eat as many of them. If your at the house try paprika instead of salt on the fries. If you start looking for sodium in the contents of yor food you might get freaked out, it's in most everything. |

Two things about salt: 1. if there's nothing wrong with your health, it's ok to eat it. 2. It retains liquid in your body. |

To salt or not to salt, that is the question. Well I myself would say not to salt but then again I am one of those strange people who actually don't like the taste of salt, so I don't use it on anything. But so long as you are in good health, i.e. no heart problems or high blood pressure, salt is not bad for you, in fact you need salt to function. If you are really worried about too much salt, then cut back, but don't deny yourself something you like the taste of. Just remember moderation is the key. |
