I don't have a problem with it, unless the person you're having the child with wants the opposite and it's going to cause major problems between you.
From a religious standpoint: I figure that we've already decided to irrevocably mess with nature with birth control and medical care, both of which have brought major benefits. Unless you think God wants us to be living in caves and eating nothing but wild berries, why stop now? |

It depends on what type of person you are, and what type of person your significant other is. For example, if you're religious, then I'd leave it up to God to choose naturally.
Normally, either gender would be welcome to the parents. However, there's really nothing wrong with choosing the gender of a child; we all have preferences, and it's not like it's going to hurt the kid if you choose (at least, I don't think it's going to).
There's nothing wrong with choosing the gender of your child. But some people may think that it's better to leave it to nature or God (depends on your beliefs). |
