I purchased an item Buy It Now on Ebay. I immediately payed using pay pal. 12 Days later I still had not received my item so I sent a polite message to the seller asking if/when my item was shipped. At this time I still felt it was a reasonable amount of time to be waiting for my package. 2 days go by with no response from seller, so I again contacted them. It is now an additional 2 days from my second message, and I still don't have my item. I did check the order details and the listed shipping date is the same date as when I sent the seller the first message. I wonder, did they not even ship until they got my first message ( 12 days after I paid!). I hate to leave negative feedback, as I don't want the same done to me. What step should I take next? Have I been fair patient enough? |

Yesterday eBay started the restriction of sellers being able to leave negative comments for buyers because of the intimidation and fear of buyers leaving negative feedback leading to revenge feedback punishment. So feel free to leave a negative comment for a deadbeat seller.
Next, dig down into the help menus in the ebay website a bit more and see how you can get a refund.
Two weeks is more than enough, and even then. It might not have been so bad if the seller hadn't ignored you. That just screams bad business or fraud. |

report the item first before leaving feeedback
You can contact ebay and report that you have not received the item..it's called opening a dispute..see if they respond to that. Also ebay has new feedback rules. Sellers are not allowed to leave negative feedback for buyers, so he can't leave you a negative if you leave him one. But if you open a dispute and they find in your favor you can even get your money back |

before leaving a negative feedback, open a "Dispute" with paypal about not recieiving the item. Paypal will contact the seller and you will have to ask the question through paypal that why you did not recieve the money.. Its a better idea to do rather than writing a negative feedback (b/c the same might happen w/ you) Mostly sellers respond to paypal disputes. |

So, it's been about two weeks now. The item has not yet been delivered, and no response from repeated emails to the seller.
Leave negative feedback, and report them to ebay. There is a new rule: Sellers can no longer leave neutral or negative feedback for a buyer, so you don't have to worry about retaliation. |

I would leave negative feed back, because that just was not right. If you do good business then you will never have to worry about someone saying something bad about you... But that person needs to be put on blast for being so irresponsible. |

Wait till you get your package and examine to make sure its what you ordered. Leave neutral feedback and explain what you went through and how there was a complete lack of communication on the sellers part.
This way, you don't have to leave a totally negative feedback, but it can help to warn others that they might have the same problems, without getting nasty about it.
Personally, I would leave negative feedback, but than again, I can be vindictive and petty. lol |

You don't have to worry about getting negative or neutral feedback as a buyer anymore! Now you don't have to feel that a seller will retaliate and leave bad feedback for you too.
Depending on the seller and what you purchased and how it was shipped, it can come SLOW in the mail!
Double check your ad, lots of BIG sellers don't check their email from eBay, and will have a different email address listed on the ad!
If they don't contact eBay and file an item not received dispute...
That usually works.... |

actually sellers can retaliate if you leave bad feedback
you leave feedback and make them mad
they get a new username, get a few feedbacks so you can't block them by feedbacks
they buy one of you items without you knowing who they are
they leave you bad feedback either way, knowing it cannot by deleted |
