I think its worth somewhere around 10 dollars. I wouldn't spend it. But maybe you could sell it to a collector for maybe 10 dollars? |

I think it could become a collector item if you keep it for a long time. |

unless it's a silver certificate, it's only worth face value, and the way the dollar is dropping on the world market it'll only be worth nine dollars by next Monday. |

Unless it is in absolute crisp mint condition -- down to the edges, with borders that are all near perfectly symmetrical, and perfect ink, etc. -- it is, and always will be only worth $10.
Spend it.
Edit: one answerer above beat me to it -- take his advice.

Use it.
The ONLY time paper currency has any 'collectible' value is when it is in MINT condition (uncirculated, crisp, new, clean, unfolded or creased). Otherwise, it's just something to keep as a conversation item, and it's worth $10.
You'd be better off by taking the bill to the bank and buy 10 uncirculated $1 presidential coins, or use it to buy a one ounce SILVER Dollar. |
