Question: Why are you asking complete strangers to answer this question for you?
Buy whatever you like better & what you can afford. Ask close friends for more advice if you need it. |

I live in a manufactured home...
It is not a mobile home, because it is not set on wheels...
I love my home, it is a double wide and looks just like a real home from inside with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and a 2 car garage...
Even has a fireplace... |

Manufactured homes are easier to purchase and cost less, but they are hard to sale if you decide to move. They do not acquire much equity. The land is usually worth more than the home itself. The most important thing though is to purchase only what you know you can afford! Whether it be custom built or manufactured, don't put yourself in debt. Either way, be proud of purchasing your own home!!! Good luck! |

It depends. Most Houses will cost more, but, you will notice some better quality as in Trim and Doors, wall width inside and Especially Kitchen Cabinets. Now the Manufactured Home is portable and can be set up quickly if you have some land and then you can move in. Where a House Built on the land will take some more time. I lived in a Nice Double Wide Manufactured Home. As, I say, it was faster and cheaper to get into. Over time as we had extra Cash, I replaced the Cabinets with real wood, not, particle board and I replaced the Front Door with a Nice Heavy Wood Door, just had to make the Frame Hole a little larger. We added a Cover front porch and a Sun Deck on back. BUT, look when you shop, see the Trim and Cabinets how they made and look at a real house and weigh the difference in costs. We enjoyed our Manufactured home for many years and sold it. Had Fireplace, jacuzzi nice as a Real House, just needed a few upgrades as money allowed. House has better resale value in time too. |

I suggest buying a house. Houses with histories and solid foundations are the best in my opinion. Think of the quality. Today homes are being built in less than good quality ways. You can see a Ryan Home go up in a month or two. Plus, the home aren't laid out to maximize the most space. I say stick with a house thats been around a few years, but not too long. Good Luck! |

Buy a house. The resale on manufactured homes are low. Alot of the lenders will not give out mortgages for the manufactured homes. |

From the stand point of an idividual in the Real Estate field. Your best bet wuold most likely be your standard home over a manufactured home. Depending upon your location and whether you ever potentially consider selling the home, it may upset its value. Most manufatured homes are great places to live though. There are some very nice ones available now. One of my favorites would be the Cape Cod style!
It is your decision. Please make the decision that you are most comfortable with.
By the way, when I tallk of manufactured home I am not talking in regards to Mobile Homes. A mobile home will not be a good option due to the depreciatio of the value! |

That depends on where you live. How much money you have and what your local building permit states. Do you want a high re sale value right at once? Then stick built home is best but will cost more. Do you want simple, comfortable - then pre manufactured will do it. Check out floor plans and costs and what is permitted on your lot and go from there. Sounds exciting |

A horse, definately a horse. They're so much more fun. The kids'll love playing around with it and riding it over jumps. I mean, what do you do with a home? Nothing, that's what. Our family used to own a horse, called Buzzique, he was well fun, liked kicking you though, the bastard..... |

It's your choice, but manufactured homes are less expensive.
Base your decision on your finances, location...
I used to live in an antique oversized cape in New England. Now I live in a double wide mobile home in GA. Much easier upkeep and no mortgage. |

A trailor or manufacturered home? There are manufactured home as large as 3600 sqft cape cods with some brick exterior added once on site.
Traditional stick built homes seem to appreciate better.
I had a family member purchase a manf home with bare interior walls and they finished all the electrical, plumming, drywall, a marble foyer, cabinets, flooring, etc... 5 years later they sold it for a great profit. so there is an upside. |
