Never stay somewhere (or with someone) that consistently makes you unhappy. |

Quitting establishes a wonderful pattern that you should maintain throughout your life. Apparently, your choice of co-workers as bed partners is as poor as your grammatical skills. You should either sleep with those in power to promote you or quit working two jobs and focus on high school. |

Part-timers getting advancement? Full-time employees do the bulk of the work and should be considered for more pay and promotions.
I worked in a place where a new person would show up for a week. I would get called in on days off, too. For a year and a half, I received no raises, no benefits, it was just a part-time job. Finally got sick of it... |

It is good you will stay in school. If you hate it there so much I would probably quit. I would suggest maybe looking for another part time job if you have time. Just think how good it would be if you could quit and tell Publix you got a better job somewhere else. It would satisfy both your mom and dad. Remember stay in school and before you know it; you will be the boss. |

find another job first before you quit, make sure that you will not be jobless |

If you hate going into work and are trying to come up with reasons why you can't go in, or why you need to leave early.... then you really need to find another job and quit working at publix. Seeing that it's not going to be your "career" then I wouldn't worry too much about it. But you should try to leave on good terms. It just looks better later on down the road when they do a reference check. |

YEAH, I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD QUIT YOUR JOB IF U REALLY HATE IT. YOUR YOUNG AND I'M SURE THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE OUT THERE THAT U WILL LIKE BETTER. I CAN;T QUIT MY HORRIBLE JOB BECAUSE I HAVE CHILDREN AND A HUSBAND THAT DEPEND ON THE INCOME I BRING IN AND I FEEL STUCK. BUT YOU CAN. DO WHAT YOUR INSTINCTS SAY TO DO...BECAUSE U MAY BE MEANT TO DO SOMETHING ELSE ANYWAY. |

Leave yesterday and gice only three days notice, agter the way they treated you. If asked why so soon, just say that others have gotten promoted in the compnay over you, so you';re goinbg elsewhere for advancement. |

Leave and look for a better work environment. Try and wait until you have something new lined up. And advice for after you graduate from highschool and college. To advance your career look for jobs that offer training programs and tuition reimbursement for furthering your education, concentrate on leadership training and leading others. Those are the type of people that companies like to keep and promote up the ranks. |

since you have another job, i would quit publix. you are still in school, so that is the main priority, and like someone else said, maybe you could then pick up some hours at Flaglar. Enjoy it while you can |

You should quit-only not until you have another job lined up to replace your crappy one, 'cause you've gotta admit, having an income is nice. It makes things SOOO much easier as far as shopping 'n' stuff goes. So anyway, yeah, just line up another job before you quit. |

No. Any prospective employer will assume the reason you are unemployed is that you are unemployable. NEVER allow youself to be unemployed for any reason. Instead, interview at various companies, looking for a new job. When you find one, quit your old one. But, only after they offer you the position. |

First of all you have my respect for even trying to work, your language stinks, might affect a promotion, plus it is usually full timers that will get the promotion over the part timers, You dad has a point, I think he is trying to show you when you are on your own you can not run away from a work problem to another but you have to beat your attitude/whatever there! at that work and by all means stay in school and LEARN makes these kind of decisions very minor ones. Good Luck |

I think you should quit your job.
If you've been there for 2 years and haven't been promoted you probably never will. There are better jobs than Publix out there, but make sure that they are available to you by staying in school. |

without question - quit
Your mother is absolutely right. And while you're in school you should not be working at a place you hate. I'm sure you want nothing to get in the way of your grades. Schooling is your priority, everything else is bonus. |
