Be careful.. Most inventions/good ideas don't take off, but cost the inventors a packet trying to launch. Stating that however, approach a company that would be interested in what you have to offer. They will pay you for your idea, rather than extort from you. |

Please state if you live in the US or UK.
If it's the latter, you might be better off trying to get 'The Dragons Den' to look at it. They will give you money to develop the idea, in exchange for equity in the business you set up. |

DON'T.
You need to apply for a patent for your ideas (not to be pinched) and should not have submitted it to a private company.
You need to speak with the patent office.
This company is just a cowboy outfit.
Once you have patented your idea (and they also check out if it is already patented as an idea, you can develop it further and further finesses your patent). Without a patent you will be ripped off if it is a marketable idea - BIG TIME.
Patent is the only protection you need.
Forget about this dodgy company.
ONCE YOU HAVE A PATENT YOUR PRODUCT IS PROTECTED AND YOU ARE THE OWNER OF THE IDEA. YOU CAN THEN EMPLOY OTHERS TO DEVELOP IT IF REQUIRED BUT BE CAREFUL WHO YOU EMPLOY AND MAKE IT CLEAR IN CONTRACTS AND ALL CORRESPONDENCE THAT THE OWNERSHIP OF THE FINAL PRODUCT AND ITS TOOLING AND PLANS ARE TO BE OWNED BY YOU 100% AND YOU CAN ASK FOR THEM BACK AT ANY TIME AND THEY MUST GIVE THEM TO YOU. |

I wouldn't trust anyone with my money to develop my idea. If they think it is any good then they should pay you for it, not the other way round. If you pay, they will probably ask for more cash later, and more later until you run out of money or get wise. |

I think that as your invention obviously means alot to you, you should do your own indepth research, as someone could just make something up which could cause you to make a wrong descision.
PS id love to hear about your invntion, message me =) |

Sounds a bit dodgy! Have you googled them? Do they have a website? |

depends on the invention you have come up with...before going ahead with anything i would suggest you make sure you get it patented and that you maintain all possible rights and ownership of the invention...that way it will secure you from anyone else taking your idea and claiming it as their own and keeping all the profit if any...secondly unless the invention is something which you are unable to make yourself then i would recommend doing indepth research into the company maybe look on the internet see if anything comes up about them on google..
best question to ask the company is what rights over the invention idea you will have and which rights the company will have...its also advisable to seek legal advice in regards to this as it couold save you loads in the long run...
hope that is of some use to you |
