Yes, i think they should!!
1)you see wearing uniform for kids brings a sense of uniformity in their minds( coz some of the children attending the class might be rich, and some might be poor). so wearing uniform brings in a level playing feild for all in the school
2) It brings the sense of dicipline in life, and start looking smart and self confident.( it is true coz wearing neat shirts, neat pressed pants, tie etc.brings a sense of pride on the children) |

no i dont think so
I had to wear uniforms in junior hight now im in highschool and we dont have to wear them.
The Pros of uniforms is
1. you have problems picking out clothing in the morning
2. people cant really judge you by the clohtes you wear
The Cons of Uniform
1. kids rebelling and getting in trouble of not wearing them
2. no outside clothes
3. the uniforms at my school were ugly
The pros of no uniforms
1. you only will have uniform clothes to wear out sideschool
2. you get you express your self by clothing
yeah i hated uniforms |

Yes, and they need discipline too. I immigrated from a foreign country where we wore uniforms and received lashings as punishment for doing anything wrong. The result was that students obeyed the teachers and there were few distractions. Also, the school was unisex. American schools are just insanely out-of-control, and something needs to be done fast! Seriously, the American education system is BACKWARDS...I'm sorry, people need discipline and control, you can't let the kids party and have fun all the time. I'm glad school uniforms are gaining acceptance, it is a good step in the right direction. Now reinstitute corporal punishment!
By the way, school is supposed to be a place of learning, not a party. You don't go there to "express yourself." No wonder this country is going to hell. |

YES, I think it's a good idea for kids to wear uniforms. You have to understand the formality of a certain establishment, like schools. It looks more descent and clean.
Sometimes you are being discriminated with what you wear. Just because you have this gothic, hip-hop, punk style. At least if you are wearing a uniform, everything's fair. |

I don't think so, because you don't get to express your personality. There should be limits and rules though, which there are in most schools. |

While I will conceed that uniforms might make it easier for kids to concentrate in class, the real world is full of distractions, and I don't see the good in sheltering kids from reality.
Once you get out of K-12 education, most people do not wear uniforms. YOu have to deal with people in college, jobs, malls, hospitals, libraries, stores, living quarters, and other places that dress differently. You might have a neighbor that never showers or a co-worker that wears nothing but black.
Kids have to get used to the fact that America is a country of diversity. What does a Christian kid do when confronted with a guy with a yarmukle or a girl with a pentacle? What about African American people with dredlocks or braids? What about white kids with dredlocks or braids? We have a think in this country called freedom of expression, and I don't see the point of protecting kids from that. |

They should wear uniforms because it takes a lot of the "cool clothing" pressure out of the picture. By helping to level the playing field, children can focus on more important things. |

Well I support uniforms. If kids in this country would not shoot or kick the crap out of other kids for their Nikes and other name brand clothes then we would not need uniforms in this country. |

Yes kids should wear uniform only because. In School there will be rich people kid also study and poor people kid also study. When seeing the rich people kid, poor people kid should not be get inferiority complex. To solve this problem all are asking to wear uniforms and they should not have, ups and downs minded. Kids will know that all are treated as same. |

No they shouldnt it doesnt let them express themselves individualy!!! and it is just plain boring to see everyone in the same thing...and u cant comment on how someone looks...so that can bring down their self esteem |

I'm in favor of uniforms. I believe that such a dress code makes things easier for the children in that there is no competition or showing off with expensive or distracting wardrobes. In schools that enroll students of various economic backgrounds, uniforms can be a welcome change for the children whose families cannot afford the latest and more high end styles that the kids feel pressured to wear. The focus is then on academics and the students are better encouraged to develop their creativities and individuality in the ways that truly matter. |

Yes..
That way when they go to school they do not feel the discrimination of society. Be it poor or rich all the children in the school treat each other the same way.
Else too early in the life they start making distinction based on money and that will give them a crucked way of thinking. |
