Of course, no one can survive, much less raise a family on anything less than twelve dollars an hour. It is time that we PUSH for economic justice. We need to PRESSURE our employers, business in general, and government to address the hardships that most Americans face as a result of business' and government's failure to sustain our wages even as the cost of living has skyrocketed upward.

YES! The price of everyhting else has gone up (milk, gas, etc), but the workers making minimum wage are not getting any kind of cost-of-living increase. |

If you are talking about the US, "we" just did, and there are more increases scheduled over the next few years.
Just one problem, of course. When minimum wage recently went up, prices at our local Subway shop did also. I commented to the sandwich-maker about the fairly significant price rise, she said it was because minimum wage went up. I said well, at least you folks got something out of it - she said yes, but prices so many places went up on things she spends money on that she's really worse off than before. Gave me a whole new view of the situation, I guess. Something to think about. |

Our country just did. It usually backfires since companies need to make money to support the employees at a higher pay rate. -- And we wonder why a lot of American companies are outsourcing jobs to foreign nations. It's not fair, but that's what happens. |

Yes we should and I believe congress has just done that but I don't know when it goes into effect. Prices on a few things will go up. Your dollar hamburger might go to 1.19. etc. To me that is well worth the trade out to give a bit of a leg up to those on the minimum end of the pay scale. |
