I believe that there is a natural, genetic component in men that make them warriors, and a natural, genetic component in women that make them nurturers. Having said that, I believe women play a valuable part in the military. However, I don't believe that they should be put in combat situations for this reason alone: women are childbearers and if should we ever revert to a draft in any war, and women were allowed into combat, the US would see a dramatic decline in birth rate. Depending on the length of the war, this could prove to be fatal for our nation. |

If they can hang and go through all the intense traiing then more power to woman who can and the army also has good benefits as far as schooling. The only down fall is being called for duty no man or woman should have to go through that but they did sign up to serve our country. Good luck. |

yes becuase it is worth it in the long run because you can pay for college, get survival traing, etc.
I also think that women are as tough if not tougher then men but then again they are made more for caring for people than men .i am not saying that all women like to take care of people but it is just a natural thought. And men were created to fight for what is right or for thier country not to just sit around and take care of children that is why more american men than women have jobs top pay for thier families.

yeah, if they can hang then why not? I guess there are issues about copulation deep in the trenches, and I also suppose that including women may introduce a host of other problems......
so actually, maybe they should be allowed to be in the navy, coast guard, and air force, but not army and marines. |

No. They should not have to. Men are men and women are women. A handful of women may be suited for aggression and killing, but not most. This is not to say women should not be in the military however. There are many non-combat related positions in the military where women can and should participate. |

By all means. Women are serving our country now. On the battle front, behind the lines, providing support, & I salute all who serve. Why? Because I come from a rich military history that goes back to the Revolutionary War. Every generation in my family has served in either the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines, both peace time, and war. 22 years Army for me. I'm all in, all American Hoo-Rah!! |

I think that women are just as equal as men. Sure some women could not be in the military but some men couldnt too.
As a matter of fact my great grandmother was in the marines. So was my great grandfather. Thats how they met. =] |

I don't think women should be allowed to fight in combat especially women who have children. Traditionally, men are fighters and it is in their blood to be fighters and to protect those that they love
Women on the other hand should be women and support their beloved men and if they have children to be with their children.
It is in the nature of the woman to be gentle and fighting does not run in our veins (although some think that it does) I think it's a matter of wanting to show that they are just as good as the guys if not better. |

I agree with skydivemommy, BUT... All that about birth rate dropping and declineing of our nation seems like a selfish scapegoat. I believe women should still be allowed in combat as it would encourage our soldiers to fight harder and longer. Imagine fighting along side with your lover as the Romans did. They were considered one of the greatest military of all time. |

emancipitian is that all women are eqaul like men so in reverse that should mean all women should do the same things as men are obligated too do ( but best it would be too have an volunteer army than everyone can choose , hell i couldnt fight with somebody over some desert with oill i never got too use under it ) |
