Well there is the trailor that goes on the back of your pick up.. there is a tractor trailer that goes on the back of the semi trucks and then there is the trailer that is a mobile home.
Pretty sure this did nothing to aleviate your confusion but isnt it fun? |

Our small ones are also called trailors. Your caravan is refered to as a travel trailor or motor home.
The "trailors" people are refering to that are lived in, actually haven't been called that for a couple of decades.
Industry standards became very strict and are now similar to regular housing that is built on-site. They are now refered to as manufactured houses or mobile or modular homes. The difference being that they are built in a factory setting and then trucked to the site for final assembly.

A trailer is a frame with wheels and a hitch mount, it could ether accommodate a caravan ,flatbed ,dump body[bucket]seats, rollers ,guide& winch for a boat , a box trailer 10-52 foot long-those come in all different sizes for your needs ,tractor trailers.even homes are built on this platform moblehome-trailerpark. Trailor is actually the music at the end of a movie, but trailer is what you tow behind your pickup. We don't tow our trash in a trailer, we let someone pick it up in a garbage truck. |
