There seems to be a lot of 'Paid Survey' sites - are they a scam or are they genuine?
Do they demand an up front fee?
Do they actually pay cash?
Has anyone been involved with any of the various outfits?

I have been searching for such a honest job for past 6 months, nd till now no luck!

I am very wary of online job/survey stuff now, having been duped twice,

I suggest u also please check out the legitimacy of the job/survey u r joining,

Some widely used resources for checking them are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center (www.fraud.org).

You can find more detailed information about a company at

http://tinyurl.com/gtb89

nd plz dont ever pay anything to anyone to get a job!
all the best :)

yes. valued opinions are a good online surveys site. they pay you in vouchers, which you can choose to have from various shops. i chose amazon, and recently spent 15 pounds worth of vouchers, which worked fine. if you choose voucher for tesco or other shops you have to wait for them to post u the voucher though.
www.valuedopinions.co.uk
also try
www.juicybrainspanel.co.uk
i wouldnt try any of the ones that ask for an upfront fee though.

edit: oh and i forgot the name of another one: www.ciao.co.uk who pay actual cash, which is transferred into ur bank when u request it to be.

Cleast
I'm sure some of the sites are scams, but both yougov and testandvote are genuine. With yougov, they send a cheque when your account reaches £50 (I think). testandvote allows you to exchange your points for Amazon vouchers. I am a member of both, and know that they don't charge any fees.

The paid survey sites never seem to work for me-it's usually either they have enough participants and don't need you or you just don't fit the demographics they're looking for.

I did find one site that lets you do both surveys and offers and get paid for doing them for free. It's called cashcrate. I found it while researching similar at home business opportunities (I'm kinda strapped for cash too ^^')

I started a month ago and hopefully I'll be receiving my check soon (I earned about 10 dollars, which isn't so bad considering I only did the free offers 'cause I was kinda skeptical)

Good luck finding a good survey site, I'll check back later and tell ya if I get the check or not ^_^

They just want your e-mail address. They collect them and sell to other companies. You then start to get a lot of spam.

it cost you nothing to join but the surveys are long and there is no great reward only promises .the only people who really benefit are the survey companies but if you like doing surveys then fine

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

i do alot of surveys from alot of different websites
do not pay for anything. they pay for YOUR opinion not the other way around.
some are scammers but alot of them are not. it takes a while to get cash but sometimes they pay u 50-100 dollars a survey it just depends. but most surveys are anywhere from 1-10 dollars.
the best ones out there are

www.globaltestmarket.com (they use points that you redeem for cash)
www.surveyspot.com
www.your2cents.com
www.opinionoutpost.com
www.mindfield.com
www.greenfieldonline.com

you wont make a fortune but you will make some extra cash on the side. good luck.

I used to use Valued Opinions and I found them to be pretty good - used to earn vouchers which came in handy when I was a student and, to be honest, it only took about 5 mins for each survey.

I certainly never had to pay anything myself and received my vouchers through the post.

Some pay vouchers, some pay cash. The cash isn't that much but still, if it's free money....
Juicybrains is good.
There is an upfront fee for some but I think they sound dodgy.

foxy miller
I use valued opinions, and have had about 15pounds in vouchers. I also use yougov, you have to accrue 50pounds before they send out the cheque. I have had one cheque and i am half way to my next one. You see yougov surveys mentioned in the news and papers. The subjects vary and you don't have to pay anything.
