in hindsight, yeah. once you get out of high school, you realize how retarded the whole structure is. ding ding (that's the bell) you get out of a class. you hang out in the halls for 15 minutes. ding ding you run to another class. ding you eat. ding you have to run around a field for a mile. ding you have to learn about fractoids and subsequently never have to use them another day of your life. ding. |

Good gosh no! I loved high school. loved it! Classes? Well I'm sure I picked up some sort of knowledge along the way. Right? Right!! But between sports and cheering and student government and friends......man we were busy and loving every minute of it. Its a huge time of growth...and I loved it!! |

it was a complete waste. those who say high school was the best years of their lives is totally pathetic. |

Not for me. While all my friends went to wood shop, I took a year of typing (for which I was teased in the beginning, until I told them...uh, look...it's where all the girls are, morons.) and guess what, 20+ years later, I still use my typing skills every day, while the last time any of them ever picked up a piece of wood, was when we all went golfing. |

Yes. Did you actually LEARN anything? Not much - you memorized a bunch of stuff. Here are the only items of value:
1. Socialization skills - although considering the environment, these were somewhat skewed.
2. Basic math skills
3. Learning to read
4. Lefty loosey, righty tighty |

Not at all. It teaches work ethics and prepares you for college and the "after life". lol And who didn't have a blast through school? |

Yep sure was. Thats why I graduated early and went to college which also was a waste of time. I knew everything they taught in Jr High school. LOL |

Not at all. It may seem that way at times, but everything you learn in highschool (and I mean EVERYTHING) is a foundation for what you will need later in life. That includes your disappointments, let-downs and failures, as well as your successes and interests. I felt the same way when I was in highschool, little did I realize that life was really shorter than I could imagine. Just try and enjoy every minute because when it's over, it's over. There's no going back... |

I don't think it was a waste at all. There are things that I learned in High School that I use everyday in my life. From math to biology, history, even the advanced skills in music I use daily for my own relaxation and entertainment. I think those who think it was a waste of time didn't apply themselves nor get envolved in anything. |
