You have to look around and see all the problems that everyone has, count your blessings and pick yourself up! I've found that no matter what, my problems and dissapointments are not as bad as many people have to deal with. If you need medical help, then seek it. That is nothing to be ashamed of! Take a walk downtown, and observe all the hardships you might see other people enduring, like homelessness, raggedy clothing, maybe they're standing in a soup-kitchen line; then say to yourself, "There, but for the grace of God, am I". And be thankful you do have what you possess, and not relying solely on the kindness of strangers. |

Eat lots of chocolate and get a pet. It's good to have someone else around to think about and care for, even if it is a goldfish or a ferret.
Don't spend a lot of time in front of the TV or on a wheeled computer chair. Go out to the grocery store, walk to the library, go where there are people -- even if you don't interact with them.
Call someone you are close to and talk about the weather. If you are comfortable, discuss your sadness.
If it becomes long-term, or you feel it is deep-seeded, tell your doctor. There are physical things that can rob you of energy and leave you vulnerable to sadness from life's daily routine. There can also be physical causes for depression that can be treated with medicine.

Nothing. If u think of it u just get more depressed. I visit my friend, going out with them and getting drunk worked fine with me. |
