What is fame worth? Depending on the type of fame, it can be worth a great deal. If it is fame that will cause one to go down in history as a respected figure. In that case, it is worth more than money, because you will be remembered by future generations.
Einstien will perhaps be remembered with reverence for all time. Julius Caesar also. Shakespear, yes.
Will anyone remember Madona 20 years from now? I doubt it.
Hitler will be remembered, but not with good reguard. Neither will be Nixon nor GWB. And then there is Hoover. I would rather not be remembered at all than in the same light as those figures.
I no doubt will get that wish. |

As I get older I find that neither money nor fame is important to me, although I once thought they were. I find that writing well is important; teaching and helping others; rehabilitating abandoned and abused dogs; living each day as though my happiness and pleasant attitude could make a difference in someone else's life...
