You should tell your mom the truth about what you did with the money and ask her to keep it next time. This will keep you from spending the money, but you need to also keep some for yourself. I think you should make a budget. Ask your mom to help you with it. The only way to get $500 back is to earn it, so that's what you'll have to do. Don't spend anything. When you grow up and look back on these years, you'll wish you hadn't spent so much on things that don't matter or even last long. |

what did you blow $500.00 on at the age of 15? thats why my 15 year old has a joint account with me i check her balance online all the time and the bank alerts me if she trys to withdraw more than $50.00 i hope your mom finds out and busts you |

Learn not to have financial accidents. Wasting $500 when it is your life savings show your immaturity but your mom shouldn't be too surprised when she finds out just disappointed.
She should have noticed you getting things you couldn't afford, so tell her it is her fault. :) |

LOL...I like how you said, "I spent it by accident." For one, YOU did not spend it by accident. You meant to spend the money.
Secondly, it is your money, correct? You earned the money, correct? If so, why would it matter if she asked if you still have the money or not.
Just be honest and tell her you spent it. The way you get the $500 back, is the way you got the $500 in the first place, you earn it!

When she asks be honest. You are only 15. Tell her that you will take half of the money you are earning and put it away. Maybe she could even help you put it somewhere safe where this would not happen again. That way you still have some cash to spend and some to put away. This will also help you for your future, learning how to budget your money so you won't end up in serious debt. |
