Australian notes are plastic and seem to work their way out of pockets.I frequently find fives,tens and twenties early in the morning in the street.I found $200 dollars in the gutter one morning and another fifty a couple of blocks away,five minutes later.Sometimes I find wallets and purses with a few bucks inside,but if there is I.D. or licenses and credit cards in them I ring up the owner and post them their property back.Folks need their money and stuff so if possible,do the right thing. |

I found 500 dollars in a wallet on the floor in the staircase, along with it were some instant lottery scratch off tickets and the total winning of that was 200 dollars. 700 dollars all together. there was no i.d in the wallet so it was their loss. |

I went to a cash machine once, in order to pay a friend $200 for something. However, when the machine spit the money out, I reach in and grabbed it, and walked away. It turns out that I grabbed it too loosely, and only got the top and bottom bill. So I had 40 bucks out of 200, and I was so distracted that I didnt notice. I realized my mistake about 10 minutes later, rushed back, and actually found my money still in the machine. |

about 4 years ago I was in my apartment cleaning out my closet and found an envelope on the floor under my tons of dirty and clean clothes. I looked inside and it had $1150.00 from my taxes the year before. I must have hid it from myself on my closet shelf so I wouldn't spend it all on stupid stuff and save it for something important, like bills or food and gas. In the process of trashing my closet, It got lost in the piles of clothes and I forgot about it. Know what I did with it once I was done dancing around my room? I spent it on stupid stuff! (lol)
As far as money that wasn't already initially mine, I found $200.00 laying in the snowy parking lot of that same apartment complex. Since it is a pretty big complex with no assigned parking spaces and had a rep for being party apt. for college kids, I had no way of tracing the money back to anyone. So I kept it and used it for rent since I was actually short that month! Hmmm...Come to think back now...I miss that apartment. I was always finding money. Someone was ALWAYS loosing bills of money in the Laundry Room Washer or Dryer. Small bills like 1's, 5's, and a couple of times a 10....ahhh..nostalgia...

I found 50$ on a school bus and spent it at the mall.The next day the principle found out and made me pay it back.Later that year I found a dollar on the steps in my church and asked about six people if it was theirs.They answered no as if I were crazy for asking.My point is never just take something that is not yours and use it for something other than what it was meant for,because some body could really need it.She needed that money to go buy her mother medicine after school at the pharmacy.Her mother went with out it for two days SHE GOT VERY SICK.After I found out I vowed never to do that if I found money again. |
