you can send checks without writing them...you can keep track of your account without having to keep a check book...you set up automatic payments for utilities, phone bill and stuff like that...its the best thing since sliced bread...i couldnt bank without online banking anymore |

afterwards, you can feel the confidence flowing into you...okay ?
all procures you do in the direct banking, can be done via internet banking. Even paying telephone bills, electricity bills, insurabce preminumns etc etc..can be done in this...

I can sit down and check my balance anytime I want and it's normally up-to-date. If I go out and spend a few dollars, by the time I get home it's already documented on my online statement. Plus, I can pay all my bills at one time in less than 10 minutes. |

well, for one, you dont have to drive to the bank to check your balance.
you can also check pending payments, plan out your bills, and take note of how much gas stations put on your debit card as a "holding fee" when you buy gas at the pump (dont be surprised to find $75+ charges on there. dont worry, they go away, but you dont have that money until they do)
you can also see what has cleared, what deposits have been made, allowing you to see if you got your paycheck in there, evn better if its direct deposit.
anyway, you get the clue. |

If you are new, do not ask any body but directly meet your banker and ask the same question, because this banker and people all have a different wive and understanding about the usage and the limitation. Well of-course there are Lot's of use of Internet banking like payment of bill Phone, Electricity etc... |

You can transfer money 24/7 to any kind of account, if with the same bank then money will prob be there instantly and you can have a closer eye on your spendings and earnings and where your money is coming from, as you can view your purchases on the statements on the website just a few days later, again, 24/7.

The one thing I absolutely love about internet banking is the ability to pay bill all my bills safely and quickly. You save on the money spent on stamps, and you do not have to worry about mis-delivered or lost payments. If anything happens and your payments are not received in a timely manner due to the fault of the bank, you are covered, and they will pay any penalties to the companies you are paying your bills to. It is fast and easy, and you can set your bills up to be paid as you like it. Most bill pay time is only 2 days time at my bank. In the event that the company does not have a way to accept your payment from direct deposit from your bank, your bank will sent the payment for you so you do not have to do it at usually no extra cost to you. They will cover all penalties in the event the payment is not received on time. Those payments take 5 days from the time you pay them to the time the payment is received.
If you have more than one checking account, like I have two as I use one for a savings account. You can transfer money from one account into the other. |

I recently started internet banking and its fabulous because you can get your account details, (showing every transaction, deposit, withdrawal, transfer, etc) on one screen, so if something looks fishy you can catch it right away.
You can also do bank transfers in any amount, I'm not sure if this is the way you can do it in the bank but i've done transfers of $4, $10, just random numbers to get my checking account filled with money. I like doing that because I use my debit card a lot, and whenever I go to the bank and take out cash you can only do so in increments of $20 and that annoys me when I only need a few dollars, so I'll be at home and transfer some odd number and then use the debit card! That way I don't go spending extra money just because it's "there" in the checking account. |
