There are many different types of definitions of hushpuppies
A show brand/type is known as Hushpuppies (most common in the 70's and early 80's and particularly popular with the very young shoe buyer)
And Long John Silver's has a side dish of a corn meal mixture shaped into balls and deep fried. (Very yummy hot, not so good cold)
They call a certain breed of dog a hushpuppy, I believe it is most similar to a dachshund, which is also referred to as a hot dog or wiener dog. |
