What are the chances that I can meet a celebrity?

There are tons of chances out there.
If you want to see a celebrity, you can go to premieres or events like that. If you want to meet one, sometimes you may just have to get lucky. Celebrities are out there a lot, but chances for actually meeting them is tough sometimes. They're very random. You could try going to the places they go. You can find these places in gossip magazines. Live in places where there are many celebrities or a great celebrity touring place to make sure that you have a bigger chance.
You could sign up to do cinema people. Be those people who take the tickets and show you to your seats. My sister met Orlando Bloom once from doing Lord of the Rings. Plus some other stars. Or you could sign up to do Disneyworld. You can't get an autograph if you are Disneyworld member, I think its in most contracts. My sister's friend works in Japan Disneysea and she saw Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey...
Go to more events where there are bound to be celebrities.
I went to a Harry Potter premiere once and Arnold was there. He was there with his wife to promote the movie and this commercial about pirated cds with Jackie Chan. My friend's mom is in a very high position in Warner Brothers.
Go get some friends who are helpful. :) Haha. As I said above, my friend's mom was in Warner Brothers so ta-da. We actually got to be the people who give them the flowers. There were four of us and it was SO COOL. We were on 'the red carpet'. We gave the flowers and was going to go, when the photographers were like PICTURE PLEASE. So I raced to Arnold (I was nearest to the place we used to stand with the photographers. This was because the other people dibs getting the bouquet. So I was just a trailer). Arnold put his hands on my shoulder and we posed. He was surprisingly REALLY REALLY nice. I got pictures from this gossip website if you people don't believe me. :)
You can figure out where they live and stalk them :). Just kidding. You can go hang around for a celebrity or move onto one of the houses there. There are addresses found on numerous websites and books that are reliable. You can also find them in gossip magazines. You could also get their email addresses just to maybe contact them via Internet.
You can go to websites that contact you when there are movie roles. There are roles that are very background like talkign people in a restruant or something. You could easily meet AND work with celebrities. These are rare however.
Get a job with a gossip magazine or website. You can go to TONS of red carpet celebrity events and meet TONS of fab stars. YAY! :) lol.

Depends where you are and who you want to meet. It is absolutely possible.

100% just follow these simple steps:

Find a Catholic, orthodox or Anglican Church, walk close to the tabernacle and there you are! alone with Jesus his body his flesh present within the sacret box...just talk to him...and I promise he will answer you, somehow...

After all, he is the most famous personality around the whole world as of today...

Pretty good. But it's likely you'll meet one and not know it. The first real celebrity I met was Dave Matthews and his band. My brother and I played basketball with them at ACAC in Charlottesville, VA. They're pretty cool guys, but no, I didn't want an autograph so I didn't bring up their music. They just want to have normal lives too.

Well, you have to put yourself in place that you have a chance. Try book signings. Many times they write books, check to see if there is any coming to your area. I met Mike Didka at a charity autograph signing.

real good if your talking about saying "hi" & getting an autographaph... if your talking about "hanging out" going to their house for dinner... the odds are not in your favor unless your in their buisness whether it be sports, movies, tv or polotics..... you meet people in the "circles" you travel in

You need to visit NYC or LA. What kind of celebrity are you looking to meet? Keep an eye on the talk show circuit. When a film star has a new movie coming out, they'll appear on Leno, Letterman, etc. Musicians appear when they're latest albumn is about to drop. Also, check out the theatre. Many celebrities end up performing live.

The closer you are to NY or LA the better. However I have met celebrities in places you would not dream of meeting them. You have to be in the right place at the right time.
