Be creative! start a business for yourself. crafting is usually the best. make photo albums, handbags, ya know, stuff like that. then sell to friends and family as an initial client base. try craft shows and flea markets or even online!
If you want something really interesting, very profitable, and alot of fun........Soapmaking! My mother and I started our own soap company with very little investment, now we've expanded into spa quality products as well as all natural cosmetics. Easy to do, and there's always someone to sell to! (how about starter makeup for teens that won't put the parents in a tizzy? lip gloss is so easy to make and the cost is insanely cheap!........plus, you get to make stuff you'd like and keep any "extras" ;) ) |

well you arent old enough in most places to have a job. So your next best guess is maybe a paper route or starting your own business of some sort......makeing crafts, selling lemonaide but that will take alot of work and a lil investment money as well. |

This is the exact stage of life you should be thinking of what you want to do with your life....and then visit these places to see if they are hiring summer job help.
This way, you break away from the routine cleaning/lawn mowing/ burger flipping routine and get a good insight into the profession you have an interest in.
Also there are summer jobs that go beyond those you mentioned avoiding. Contact your local Chamber of Commerce to look into summer job programs for teens as well. |

sorry there isnt much to do out there for anyone younger than like 15...
but you could babysit. just put out flyers and stuff around the neighborhood and hopefully there are a lot of little kids that need to be babysat! good luck |

hehe yea i was gonna say go stand out on the corner in a miniskirt but someone beat me to it. check the "labor gigs" section of craigslist.org, people post ads for odd jobs they need done. unfortunately cuz of stupid laws made by liberals you cant work at 13, even though there are tons of non-strenuous jobs kids could do. i actually wanted to work as a kid, i got my first job soon after i turned 14. |
