What kind of business? My card has a place on the back to write dates and times for appointments. |

I actually own a business designing and printing business cards....http://www.ikonprint.com
IMHO, it is more impressive to have a flashy front of the card, with minimal information (logo, picture, background) and have all of the pertinent information(name, address, smaller logo, phone, etc...), in a more subdued form, on the back |

I've seen a little calendar printed on the back of business cards. I'm not sure what industry you are in, but you can list special offers. If you have an excellent web page you could just list your URL on the back of your card. |

how about a map? |

It depends on what kind of business you are running. If people need appointments to meet with you, then make it an appointment card. Otherwise a list of services would work. |

depends on your business but you could put something like a discount fee for referrals? or a good quote. |

just wondering

If you are in a business where appts are scheduled with clients, you can put an appointment reminder on there. |

You can do this:
Name:
Number:
Best time to call:
This way contacts can write their information on the back and give it back to you to request your service. Saves time searching for paper to write down their information. |

Put the exact mirror image of the front side on the reverse side. |

hi popular, two things may work for you.A baby pic is always good(must be cute)as well as meaningfull to your bussiness i.e baby in overalls for plumbers brickies and so on,people are less likely to throw out or scrunch up something with a subconcious family member that`s a cute reminder of a niece, daughter or godson on it.Holograms are good but expensive but it makes what your selling way more professional to the buyer. |

If you've got some logo design that will look clean and attractive , you can stretch it out over the back just so when people are going through their business contacts, they notice yours no matter what side of the rolodex they're thumbing from. |

Make that side glossed with the logo centered. Or just make it the color of your company. |

it is usually left blank |

Create a logo in publisher if you haven't already. Put a small one in the front top corner of the card and put a large one on the back to get their attention. |

If you are involved in anything international, it is customary to print one side of your card in English, the other side is a duplicate of that information in the language of the country you do most of your business with. Mine are English and Chinese.
However, I recently ran across a card I really liked. One side was the normal contact information. The reverse side was her "elevator pitch" (a brief statement about what she does and the value of her services). Then under that was a link to her professional profile on Linked In.
Your card is advertising space. Make good use of it. |

Well, it depends on what you're doing.
It's good practice to put everything on the front, so that the client doesn't have to struggle to find information, or do anymore work than he/should already has to. Put the name, contact info, etc. and make it look nice. You're going to want to have ALL of the info that the client needs, but none that he/she doesn't. Logos, slogans, etc. aren't needed and will probably just add clutter.
So for the back, you can leave it blank, put a logo, slogan, etc. Basically anything you want that refers to your business, that is not important info. |

I put a calender. You can also put a picture or an appointment reminder. Think of something related to your business and work from there. |
