Here are two suggestions: #1-Ask her out to lunch or dinner at someplace you both enjoy and give her the "gift" of not cooking that night and of having a nice evening visiting and laughing with you.. Doesn't that sound like a nice thing? She will think so.
Or #2- Clean the house for her.. And really do it well. Put a note in her Mother's Day card saying you want to really clean the house well for her, or tidy the garage she's been wanting tidied, and then do the best job you can imagine, and be happy doing it, not grumpy.. She would of course love this too. |

every mother's day, i make my mother a pot of flowers. Go to your local nursery. There you will find suggestions and someone can help you put together a nice grouping of plants. Geraniums and/or marigolds are always a plus. You can put them together or not. Something that you have made yourself makes it that much nicer. |

Or if you have access get a photo of her from every year and make copies and do a scrapbook of them. |

They have cute things at Hallmark, not just cards but they have a whole line for mothers, since mothers day is coming up....lots of Spring stuff, and frames, etc. |
