Ohh and if I'm at some place where I could spend money, I say I'm only going to buy this, this and this, and put the rest of the money somewhere else, so I don't spend it |

I always buy whatever brand is on sale at the grocery store, and go to costco to buy my meats. They are better quality, and a lot cheaper. I also round up in my checkbook. For instance, if I do an atm purchase for 24.30, I mark down 25.00 in my checkbook. At the end of each month, I have an extra 20 bucks or so, and after a few months that really is nice. It's a nice suprise. |

BofA has a keep the change account now. Sounds like you are doing some stuff but if you can bank your loose change or turn it into paper money at coin star you will be surprised how much green you can put back in your pocket. I have a cell but not a home phone -- pick one or the other, you probably don't need both. basic cable not premium. NOt running the heater all the time in winter or the A/C in summer. Fill tank at gas station with lowest prices. If you smoke then stop. If you drink then stop and you will see lots of savaings. Don't go to movies.... |

Shopping at dollar store
No Starbucks or fast food...cook your own meals
Cut down on entertainment...movies, drinking, dining out
Don't buy what you don't need...which means knowing what is a NEED and what is a WANT
Cut down or out on cable, etc...
Make a budget and stick to it. Know where your money is going.
Consolidate credit cards and pay them off ASAP. See if you can get your APR lowered.
Buy used items at thrift store/Goodwill.
Shop around...buy things on sale and with a coupon.
Cut your own hair or let Fantastic Sams do it. |

Eliminate spending on things that are not needed. Like fast food, starbucks, and shopping where I can get more for my money. |

We don't go out to eat. We use coupons and for birthdays and stuff when asked what we want we say giftcards. |
