She wishes she could be home earlier. She's exhausted and doesn't know when her life as a working drone is ever going to end, or when is the next time she's going to be able to relax, and wishes her quality of life was better and things were easier. She's frustrated and doesn't feel in control, so she kind of takes it out on you.
Read a couple of books on negotiation. They're at the library. It will serve you well and you'll be able to change your relationship with your mom in a more productive way. |

clean up before she gets home. Ask yourself before you get started what you KNOW she would like to see done by you and just do it. If she complains about the way you did it, which is pretty rude, simply ask her to show you how she'd like it done. Mom's who don't get home til 9pm are pretty tired and would just like to see that someone is glad she's home by a little demonstration of caring. Helping mom is a BIG demonstration of care. Do your best! |

clean up before she gets there. That's better than 2 oclock in the morning. I remember when my mom use to get home at two, and we were like 12 and 13, if our shores weren't done, we had to get up and clean the entire house, not just the chore that wasn't done. Then, we still had to get up in time to catch the bus on time for school. Do it so you won't get in trouble. |
