Run cold water on it to stop the burning from spreading any further. There is some really good first aid burn creme you can put on it. If you don't have any put some antibiotic ointment on it to reduce the risk of infection. |

Run cool but not cold water on the burn for a few minutes, then gently apply aloe. |

?
 |
the best way is put the burnt area under running COLD water for ten mins , then apply a soothing burn cream/lotion.
If it is severe , it would pay to go to a doctor. |

Keep it clean and covered. If its third degree get burn cream. If it hurts then your ok just by cleaning and covering. third degree burns dont hurt because it kills the nerve senses. |

If the wound is very minor, and small you might be ok with cool water, and aloe vera. If the burn is not minor you need an ER. Minor burns are partial thickness, and the skin is not destroyed. It will grow back. DO NOT use mustard. burns infect easily, and can become a major complication. I am a burn nurse of 20 years. NO mustard, no mayo:) |
