A lot of my friends ask me if they can copy my homework cause they do not do it themselves and want the grade but do not want to do the work. What should I do:let them copy me and get a grade they don't deserve or not let them and have them get mad at me? |

Was so tricky when I was in school - wanted to have friends, but telling them they couldn't copy my work wouldn't go over too well.
Even worse, some people would even go out of there way to see that I did worse. I remember a whole class once convinced the teacher who graded a project of mine an A+ that it was done commercially, and she was convinced enough to lower my mark to a B, even though all those accusations were false.
So why did I not allow people to copy my homework? Because it was me that went home and put in long hours, it was me who studied for the tests, it was me who did what I had to do when I couldn't understand what I did in class.
It was unfathomable to me why someone in school should profit and get the same results as someone who actually puts in the work.
And I figured having a friend who would reject me because I refuse to have my homework copied wouldn't be much of a true friend, so I'd rather go without anyway.
At the end of the day, I felt much better being able to make that hard decision, and I knew that one day soon, petty elementary school and secondary school would be over and I'd be in schools of higher education, where presumably my peers would be more mature. And they were. |

Your friends are lazy. They should be putting in the effort to get the grades themselves. But because they are total slackers and they know you get the good grades, don't let them pressure you into letting them copy your work. It's called plagarism. Ever heard of it before? Yeah, it's bad. Don't let your friends do it. Just tell them to do the homework themselves or better yet, offer to tutor them. |

think of it this way... if your had or have a job how would you feel if you work hard all week to make your money and then your friend came and took your check and spent it all... its kind of the same thing, i mean, you are working hard to get your homework done while your friends are out having fun so why should you be responsible for them? |

If you couldn't decide when they asked you for it, and you let the question waver and rot within your mind until you could let other people answer it for you, then it's probably in your best interest that you not let people become leeches upon your mind and soul, because you lack the ability to make a conscious decision for yourself, for example, the decision to say "f#&k you, do your own damn work, I've got my own s!%t I've got to do." Or you could do it for them, and subject yourself to a lifetime of subservience and bitchitude. Everybody needs to learn that people can't do their work for them, because eventually, they will get cut off and when they do, they will be a limbless torso in the English Channel. And you don't want your friends to be limbless torsos, do you? |

I think that maybe you shouldnt let them copy EVERYTHING on ur paper but kinda i guess help them w/da answers. also try putting yourself in their shoes.

Give them a few wrong answers! Revenge, but still helping them a bit. Thats what I do... sometimes I stop at the wrong answers. |

If it is not grading i'll allow my friend to copy.
But if it is for grading where the lecturer will pay attention, i'll show friends how to tackle the homework and do not allow illegal copy . lol
I'll also give them the references of my homework |

well, I had that problem and I felt like If only I did the work, only I was going to turn it it so I politely told them I didn't feel comfortable cheating cause I didn't want to get into trouble. |

Yes - it happens , especially where I study . No , I don't let anyone copy my homework unless it is some really valid reason . Sure - they can read my work and interpret it but copying it - um - no . Because - what if I were not there - what if nobody could help you - then how would you do it ?
